My beauties

We’ve started taking Daria to preschool — for now just for an hour or an hour and a half, easing in. Every morning is a tiny adventure: she won’t let us go, standing by the door with such a look that you instantly feel like a traitor.

But the teachers say — five minutes after we leave, she’s already running around and laughing. That’s how children are. And that’s how parents are too — we still spend those five minutes worrying every time.

Irina is especially beautiful on mornings like these. I don’t know how she does it — three children, an early wake-up, preschool — and she still looks like she has a secret she isn’t sharing with me.
