Dubai does everything on a grand scale — and holidays are no exception. On February 14, it’s not just a day for chocolate and flowers. It’s a chance for the city to show itself at its best: Burj Khalifa lit up, promenades full of people, restaurants with waiting lists weeks long.
But what always catches me about this day is something else.
